Stocks Opened Slightly Lower, Oil Futures Were Under Pressure

U.S. stocks opened slightly lower on Friday as markets struggled to extend their record-setting rally. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lately advanced 30.40 points, or 0.10%, to 31,400.30. The S&P 500 fell 3.58 points, or 0.09%, to 3,912.80. The Nasdaq Composite slid 54.32 points, or 0.39%, to 13,971.45.

Oil futures were under pressure for a second straight session Friday, after snapping lengthy winning streaks, but remained on track for weekly gains. West Texas Intermediate crude for March delivery fell 45 cents, or 0.8%, to $57.79 a barrel. April Brent crude was off 39 cents, or 0.6%, at $60.75 a barrel.
