Stocks Ended Mixed, Dow Set Record High

U.S. stocks ended mixed on Tuesday, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq pulling back slightly from all-time highs and the Dow setting a fresh record close. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 64.35 points, or 0.20%, to 31,522.75. The S&P 500 edged lower 2.24 points, or 0.06%, to 3,932.59. The Nasdaq Composite fell 47.97 points, or 0.34%, to 14,047.50.

U.S. crude oil prices extended a February rally to settle above $60 per barrel, the highest since the start of the pandemic. March West Texas Intermediate crude rose 58 cents, or 1%, to settle at $60.05 a barrel. April Brent crude edged up by a nickel, or nearly 0.1%, to $63.35 a barrel.
