Stocks Closed Out Best Week since November

U.S. stocks ended higher on Friday, closing out best week since November as stimulus hopes increased. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 92.38 points, or 0.30%, to 31,148.24. The S&P 500 added 15.09 points, or 0.39%, to 3,886.83. The Nasdaq Composite gained 78.55 points, or 0.57%, to 13,856.30.

Oil futures settled higher on Friday, boosted in part by expectations for stronger energy demand and production restraint by major oil producers. West Texas Intermediate crude for March delivery rose 62 cents, or 1.1%, to settle at $56.85 a barrel, rising 8.9% for the week. April Brent crude advanced 50 cents, or nearly 0.9%, to $59.34 a barrel, gaining 7.8% for the week.
