tocks Ended Mixed, Tech Shares Recovered Some Losses

U.S. stocks ended mixed on Wednesday, as tech shares recovered some losses. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 8.22 points, or 0.03%, to 31,060.47. The S&P 500 was up 8.65 points, or 0.23%, to 3,809.84. The Nasdaq Composite advanced 56.52 points, or 0.43%, to 13,128.95.

Oil futures ended lower in a choppy session, after the U.S. dollar gained ground and inventories of gasoline and distillates rose more than expected. West Texas Intermediate crude for February delivery fell 30 cents, or 0.6%, to $52.91 a barrel. March Brent crude fell 52 cents, or 0.9%, to close at $56.06 a barrel.
