Stocks Ended Lower, Nasdaq Dropped 1.9%

U.S. stocks ended lower on Wednesday, with the Nasdaq dropping 1.9% after setting a fresh round of intraday records. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 105.07 points, or 0.35%, to 30,068.81. The S&P 500 was down 29.43 points, or 0.79%, to 3,672.82. The Nasdaq Composite dropped 243.82 points, or 1.94%, to 12,338.95.

Oil futures ended on a mixed note Wednesday, with global prices up slightly but U.S. benchmark crude posting a loss on the back of the biggest weekly increase in domestic crude supplies since April. West Texas Intermediate crude for January delivery fell 8 cents, or 0.2%, to settle at $45.52 a barrel. February Brent crude tacked on 2 cents, or 0.04%, to $48.86 a barrel.
