Stocks Ended Higher, Extending November Rally

U.S. stocks ended higher on Tuesday, with the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq hitting record highs, as stocks extended November rally. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 185.28 points, or 0.63%, to 29,823.92. The S&P 500 added 40.82 points, or 1.13%, to 3,662.45. The Nasdaq Composite gained 156.37 points, or 1.28%, to 12,355.11.

Oil futures declined on Tuesday, as the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies delayed a decision on whether to extend existing output curbs until later this week. West Texas Intermediate crude for January delivery fell 79 cents, or 1.7%, to settle at $44.55 a barrel. February Brent crude lost 46 cents, or 1%, at $47.42 a barrel.
