Stocks Opened Higher as Investors Eyed Trump’s Health

U.S. stocks opened higher on Monday, recovering after Friday’s losses, as investors continued to closely monitor developments around President Donald Trump’s health. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lately rose 255.63 points, or 0.92%, to 27,938.44. The S&P 500 gained 30.08 points, or 0.90%, to 3,378.52. The Nasdaq Composite advanced 112.26 points, or 1.01%, to 11,187.27.

Oil prices rose on Monday on Trump health update. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude was $1.26, or 3.4%, higher at $38.31 a barrel. Brent was up $1.20, or 3.1%, to $40.47 a barrel.
