Stocks Ended Mixed Friday and Marked Weekly Declines

U.S. stocks ended mixed on Friday with all three benchmarks marking weekly declines after a week of volatility. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 131.06 points, or 0.48%, to 27,665.64. The S&P 500 added 1.78 points, or 0.05%, to 3,340.97. The Nasdaq Composite fell 66.05 points, or 0.60%, to 10,853.54. Oil futures suffered from a second consecutive weekly decline on Friday, pressured by worries over the outlook for demand and a climb in U.S. crude supplies. November Brent fell 23 cents, or 0.6%, to $39.83 a barrel, for a weekly loss of 6.6%.
