Stocks Ended Mostly Lower, Oil Futures Climbed

U.S. stocks ended mostly lower on Thursday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average eking out a tiny gain to extend its win streak to four sessions. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 11.93 points, or 0.05%, to 26,281.82. The S&P 500 declined 10.52 points, or 0.34%, to 3,112.35. The Nasdaq Composite retreated 67.10 points, or 0.69%, to 9,615.81.

Oil futures climbed on Thursday, with data showing high oil-producer compliance with output cuts contributing to a third straight climb in U.S. prices. West Texas Intermediate crude for July delivery rose 12 cents, or 0.3%, to settle at $37.41 a barrel. Brent saw its August contract tacked on 20 cents, or 0.5%, to end at $39.99 a barrel.
