Stocks Ended Sharply Lower, Dow Plunged 10%

U.S. stocks ended sharply lower on Thursday, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq joining the Dow in entering a bear market. The Dow Jones Industrial Average slumped 2,352.60 points, or 9.99%, to 21,200.62. The S&P 500 fell 260.74 points, or 9.51%, to 2,480.64. The Nasdaq Composite slid 750.25 points, or 9.43%, to 7,201.80.

Oil futures finished sharply lower Thursday. West Texas Intermediate crude for April delivery dropped $1.48, or 4.5%, to settle at $31.50 a barrel, while May Brent tumbled $2.57, or 7.2%, to $33.22 a barrel.
