Stocks Ended Higher, Dow Up over 1,100 Points

U.S. stocks ended higher on Tuesday, with the Dow jumping over 1,100 points, after a volatile session that initially saw a strong rebound from Monday rout. The Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 1,167.14 points, or 4.89%, to 25,018.16. The S&P 500 added 135.67 points, or 4.94%, to 2,882.23. The Nasdaq Composite gained 393.58 points, or 4.95%, to 8,344.25.

Crude-oil prices rebounded on Tuesday, recouping a portion of their day-earlier losses. West Texas Intermediate crude for April delivery rose $3.23, or 10.4%, to settle at $34.36 a barrel. May Brent crude rose $2.86, or 8.3%, to $37.22 a barrel.
