Stocks Ended Mixed, Oil Futures Settled Higher

U.S. stocks ended mixed on Tuesday as investors looked to an onslaught of corporate earnings and economic data later in the week.The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 32.62 points, or 0.11%, to 28,939.67. The S&P 500 retreated 4.98 points, or 0.15%, to 3,283.15. The Nasdaq Composite declined 22.60 points, or 0.24%, to 9,251.33.

Oil futures settled higher Tuesday, snapping a five-day losing streak. West Texas Intermediate crude for February delivery rose 15 cents, or 0.3%, to settle at $58.23 a barrel. March Brent added 29 cents, or about 0.5%, to $64.49 a barrel.
