Stocks Ended Lower, Oil Prices Fell Slightly

U.S. stocks ended lower on Monday, cooling gains after a string of record highs last week. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 183.12 points, 0.64%, to 28,462.14. The S&P 500 was down 18.73 points, or 0.58%, to 3,221.29. The Nasdaq Composite declined 60.62 points, 0.67%, to 8,945.99.

Oil futures ended with small losses Monday, snapping a four-day winning streak. West Texas Intermediate crude for February delivery fell 4 cents, or less than 0.1%, to end at $61.68 a barrel. March Brent crude fell 20 cents, or 0.3%, to close at $66.67 a barrel.
