Stocks Ended Mixed, Dow Hit Record High

U.S. stocks ended mixed on Monday, with the Dow pushed into positive territory and a fresh record closing high as Walgreens (WBA) and Boeing (BA) shares jumped. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 10.25 points, or 0.04%, to 27,691.49. The S&P 500 declined 6.07 points, or 0.20%, to 33,087.01. The Nasdaq Composite fell 11.04 points, or 0.13%, to 8,464.28.

Oil futures settled lower Monday as recent developments in Sino-American trade negotiations reignited some fears about demand for energy assets. West Texas Intermediate crude for December delivery fell 38 cents, or 0.7%, to reach $56.86 a barrel. January Brent crude gave up 33 cents, or 0.5%, to end at $62.18 a barrel.
