Stocks Ended Higher ahead of U.S.-China Trade Talks

U.S. stocks ended higher on Thursday, as investors kept an eye on U.S.-China trade talks. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 150.66 points, or 0.57%, to 26,496.67. The S&P 500 climbed 18.73 points, or 0.64%, to 2,938.13. The Nasdaq Composite gained 47.04 points, or 0.60%, to 7,950.78.

Oil prices climbed on Thursday, settling at their highest in more than a week. West Texas Intermediate crude for November delivery rose 96 cents, or 1.8%, to settle at $53.55 a barrel. December Brent crude gained 78 cents, or 1.3%, to end at $59.10 a barrel.
