Stocks Ended Sharply Lower as Hong Kong Portests Heated Up

U.S. stocks ended sharply lower on Monday, as escalating protests in Hong Kong weighed on already-dampened investor sentiment. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 391.00 points, or 1.49%, to 25,896.44. The S&P 500 slumped 35.95 points, or 1.23%, to 2,882.70. The Nasdaq Composite fell 95.73 points, or 1.20%, to 7,863.41.
