U.S. stocks closed at record highs on Wednesday, ahead of Thursday’s market close for Independence Day. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 179.32 points. or 0.67%, to 26,966.00. The S&P 500 gained 22.81 points, or 0.77%, to 2,995.82. The Nasdaq Composite increased 61.14 points, or 0.75%, to 8,170.23.
