Stocks Opened Higher as G-20 Summit Kicked Off

U.S. stocks opened higher on Friday, as investors monitor the G-20 summit in Osaka, Japan. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lately rose 66.62 points, or 0.25%, to 26,593.20. The S&P 500 added 9.93 points, or 0.34%, to 2,934.85. The Nasdaq Composite gained 13.93 points, or 0.17%, to 7,981.69.

Oil prices pulled back Friday from the multiweek highs reached a day earlier. August West Texas Intermediate crude slipped 2 cents, or less than 0.1%, at $59.41 a barrel. August Brent crude slipped 3 cents, or 0.1%, at $66.52 a barrel.
