Stocks Ended Higher on U.S.- China Trade Optimism

U.S. stocks ended higher on Wednesday amid positive reports for a U.S.-China trade deal. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 39.00 points, or 0.15%, to 26,218.13. The S&P 500 gained 26,218.13 points, or 0.21%, to 2,873.40. The Nasdaq Composite added 46.86 points, or 0.60%, to 7,895.55.

Oil futures ended modestly lower, snapping a 3-day winning streak Wednesday after government data showed an unexpectedly large rise in U.S. crude inventories. West Texas Intermediate crude for May delivery fell 12 cents, or 0.2%, to end at $62.46 a barrel.
