Stocks Opened Modestly Higher

U.S. stocks opened modestly higher on Wednesday, as Boeing attempted to snap 2-session rout. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lately rose 88.49 points, or 0.35%, to 25,643.15. The S&P 500 advanced 10.79 points, or 0.39%, to 2,802.31. The Nasdaq Composite gained 36.65 points, or 0.48%, to 7,627.68.

Crude-oil futures early Wednesday headed higher for a third straight session, amid further evidence of tight supplies and a slowdown in U.S. output. April West Texas Intermediate crude rose 57 cents, or 1%, to reach $57.44 a barrel. May Brent crude gained 43 cents, or 0.6%, to $67.10 a barrel.

Verizon Communications Inc said on Wednesday its customers in Chicago and Minneapolis would be able to use its fifth generation wireless network from April 11 by paying $10 per month with any of its unlimited mobile plans.
