Stocks Ended Mixed on Growth Worries

U.S. stocks ended mixed on Monday, as investors continued to digest global growth concerns. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 14.51 points, or 0.06%, to 25,516.83. The S&P 500 was down 2.35 points, or 0.08%, to 2,798.36. The Nasdaq Composite declined 5.13 points, or 0.07%, to 7,637.54.

Oil futures settled on a mixed note Monday, with U.S. prices marking their lowest settlement in just over a week on the back of persistent worries about an economic slowdown hurting energy demand. West Texas Intermediate crude for May delivery fell 22 cents, or 0.4%, to settle at $58.82 a barrel. May Brent crude tacked on 18 cents, or 0.3%, to end at $67.21 a barrel.
