Stocks Opened Higher, Oil Prices Rebounded

U.S. stocks opened solidly higher Friday, adding to gains from the past two trading sessions. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lately rose 42.21 points, or 0.18%, to 23,181.03. The S&P 500 advanced 8.95 points, or 0.36%, to 2,497.78. The Nasdaq Composite picked up 12.56 points, or 0.19%, to 6,592.05.

Oil prices were rebounding on Friday. West Texas Intermediate crude for February delivery rose $1.13, or 2.5%, to $45.73 a barrel. February Brent crude rose around $1, or 2%, to $53.71 a barrel.
