Dow Closed at Record High

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at record high on Tuesday, even as the broader market slumped amid worries on China-U.S. trade relations and a simmering crisis emanating from Italy. The Dow jumped 122.73 points, or 0.46%, to 26,773.94. The S&P 500 was down 1.16 points, or 0.04%, to 2,923.43. The Nasdaq Composite fell 37.76 points, or 0.47%, to 7,999.55.

Oil futures end a few cents lower on Tuesday, a day after reported declines in Iranian exports. November West Texas Intermediate crude fell 7 cents, or less than 0.1%, to settle at $75.23 a barrel. December Brent fell by 18 cents, or 0.2%, to finish at $84.80 a barrel.
