Stocks Ended Higher as Tech Shares Rallied

U.S. stocks ended higher on Monday, reversing an early decline as a rebound in technology shares helped to offset ongoing uncertainty surrounding trade policy. the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 35.77 points, or 0.15%, to 24,307.18. The S&P 500 gained 8.34 points, or 0.31%, to 2,726.71. The Nasdaq Composite added 57.38 points, or 0.76%, to 7,567.69.

U.S. oil prices slipped on Monday marked a modest decline, finding some support from crude export disruptions in Libya and recent data showing tighter U.S. supplies. Brent prices, however, suffered a sharp loss as traders weighed expectations for higher global output. August West Texas Intermediate crude fell by 21 cents, or 0.3%, to settle at $73.94 a barrel. September Brent dropped $1.93, or 2.4%, to $77.30 a barrel.
