Stocks Opened Lower amid Worries over Trade and Geopolitics

U.S. stocks opened lower on Wednesday, amid continues worries over trade and geopolitics. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lately fell 83.00 points, or 0.33%, to 24,751.41. The S&P 500 was down 10.07 points, or 0.37% to 2,714.37. The Nasdaq Composite declined 22.67 points, or 0.32% to 7,355.79.

Oil futures traded lower on Wednesday on speculation the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries could move next month to boost output to make up for declining Venezuelan supplies and potential lost production by Iran. West Texas Intermediate crude for July delivery fell 45 cents, or 0.6%, to $71.75 a barrel. July Brent crude declined 68 cents, or 0.9%, to $78.89 a barrel.

Comcast Corp (CMCSA) confirmed for the first time on Wednesday it was preparing a higher, all-cash offer for the businesses that Twenty-First Century Fox (FOXA) has agreed to sell to Walt Disney Co (DIS.N).
