Stocks Tumbled, Dow Dropped over 660 Points

U.S. stocks ended sharply lower on Friday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropping over 660 points, after a round of weak earnings and as climbing bond yields prompted a selloff in equities. The Dow fell 665.75 points, or 2.54%, to 25,520.96. The S&P 500 lost 59.85 points, or 2.12%, to 2,762.13. The Nasdaq Composite dropped 144.92 points, or 1.96%, to 7,240.95. For the week, the Dow shed 4.1%, the S&P 500 lost 3.9% and the Nasdaq Composite declined 3.5%.

Oil prices finished lower Friday to tally a weekly loss, as recent U.S. monthly data show domestic crude production in record territory. March West Texas Intermediate crude fell 35 cents, or 0.5%, to settle at $65.45 a barrel. April Brent dropped $1.07, or 1.5%, to end at $68.58 a barrel.
