Stocks Opened Marginally Higher on Cyber Monday

U.S. stocks opened marginally higher on Monday as retailers were in focus amid Cyber Monday shopping. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lately rose 45.57 points, or 0.19%, to 23,603.56. The S&P 500 gained 2.92 points, or 0.11%, to 2,605.34. The Nasdaq Composite added 5.50 points, or 0.08%, to 6,894.66.

U.S. oil futures pulled back from two-year highs on Monday, as investors turned their attention to OPEC meeting and hopes for an extension to a production-cut deal later this week. West Texas Intermediate crude futures for January delivery eased 54 cents, or 0.9%, to $58.41 a barrel. Brent oil slipped 26 cents, or 0.4%, to $63.59 a barrel.
