Stocks Ended Mixed, Tech Selloff Weighed on Nasdaq

U.S. stocks ended mixed on Wednesday, wity the Nasdaq posted its biggest one-day drop in more than three months, as tech stocks came under selling pressure. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 103.97 points, or 0.44%, to 23,940.68. The S&P 500 lost 0.97 points, or 0.04%, to 2,626.07. The Nasdaq Composite dropped 87.97 points, or 1.27%, to 6,824.39.

Oil futures ended lower Wednesday, as growing uncertainty over the outcome of a closely watched OPEC meeting outweighed support from official U.S. data revealing a decline in domestic crude stockpiles for a second week in a row. January West Texas Intermediate crude fell by 69 cents, or 1.2%, to settle at $57.30 a barrel. January Brent fell 50 cents, or 0.8%, to end at $63.11 a barrel.
