Stocks Ended Little Changed, Dow Just Below 23, 000

U.S. stocks ended little changed on Tuesday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average finished just below 23, 000 point mark, driven by a rally in the health-care sector. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 40.48 points, or 0.18%, to 22,997.44. The S&P 500 gained 1.72 points, or 0.07%, to 2,559.36. The Nasdaq Composite dropped 0.35 points, or 0.01%, to 6,623.66.

Oil settled little changed on Tuesday, but fighting in Iraq and tensions between the U.S. and Iran kept prices at their highest level in nearly three weeks. November West Texas Intermediate crude tacked on a penny to settle at $51.88 a barrel. Brent crude for December rose 6 cents, or 0.1%, to $57.88 a barrel.
