U.S. stocks finished higher on Tuesday with the Dow industrials and S&P 500 closing at records following a rebound in tech shares. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 92.80 points, or 0.44%, at a record 21,328.47. The S&P 500 rose 10.96 points, or 0.45%, to finish at a record 2,440.35. The Nasdaq Composite advanced 44.90 points, or 0.73%, to 6,220.37.
Oil prices tallied a gain for a third-straight session Tuesday, ahead of a weekly U.S. government data that are expected to reveal a decline in crude supplies. July West Texas Intermediate crude rose 38 cents, or 0.8%, to settle at $46.46 a barrel. August Brent crude added 43 cents, or 0.9%, to $48.72 a barrel.
