Stocks Ended Mixed, Nasdaq Hit Record

U.S. stocks finished mixed on Monday, with the Nasdaq rallied to a new record on the back of strong gains in large-cap tech shares. The Dow Jones Industrial Average slid 27.05 points, or 0.13%, to 20,913.46. The S&P 500 climbed 4.13 points, or 0.17%, to 2,388.33. The Nasdaq Composite gained 44.00 points, 0.73%, to 6,091.60.

Oil prices logged their lowest finish in about five weeks Monday, on concerns that rising U.S. crude output would offset efforts by OPEC and other large crude producers to cap a nagging global oil glut. June West Texas Intermediate crude fell 49 cents, or 1%, to settle at $48.84 a barrel. July Brent declined by 53 cents, or 1%, to $51.52 a barrel.
