Stocks Ended Lower, Dow Turned Red for 2015

U.S. stocks closed lower on Monday, with Dow posting losses of 0.32% year-to-date. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 82.91 points, or 0.46%, to 17,766.55. The S&P 500 shed 13.55 points, or 0.65%, to 2,079.28. The Nasdaq Composite was down 46.83 points, or 0.92%, to 5,021.63.

Germany Greece proclaimed a new willingness to compromise with its international creditors on Monday, as German Chancellor Angela Merkel warned that time was running out for a reform-for-aid deal to keep the country in the euro.

All employees, including part-time workers, at Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. are set to get a boost in benefits starting July 1, including paid vacation time, sick pay and tuition reimbursement, the company has announced.

Treasuries rebounded after their biggest drop since February as the highest yields in 2015 lured back buyers. Ten-year yields fell two basis points, or 0.02 percentage point, to 2.39 percent as of 3:51 p.m. in New York, according to Bloomberg Bond Trader data.
