Stocks Advanced ahead of Jobs Report

U.S. stocks closed higher on Thursday, led a rebound in technology shares before Friday’s labor report. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 82.08 points, or 0.46%, to 17,924.06. The S&P 500 added 7.85 points, or 0.38%, to 2,088.00. The Nasdaq Composite rose 25.90 points, or 0.53%, to 4,945.54.

Yelp Inc., the consumer-review website, is working with Goldman Sachs Group Inc. to find a buyer, a person with knowledge of
the matter said. The $3.5 billion company, based in San Francisco, may draw interest from potential suitors including Priceline
Group Inc., Yahoo! Inc., Amazon.com Inc. and Rakuten Inc., said the person, who asked not to be identified because the process
is private.

CBS Corp. (CBS) on Thursday reported first-quarter earnings of $394 million. It had net income of 78 cents per share. The results surpassed Wall Street expectations.
