Nasdaq Closed above 5000

U.S. stock prices rallied on Monday, with the Nasdaq composite crossing 5,000 for the first time in 15 years, on expectations the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates later this year. At close, the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 155.93 points, or 0.86%, to 18,288.63. The S&P 500 added 12.89 points, or 0.61%, to 2,117.39. The Nasdaq Composite was up 44.57 points, or 0.90%, to 5,008.10.

Caesars Entertainment Corp. reported that its revenue rose 6.3% during the fourth quarter. It reported that its net revenue reached $2.13 billion, though analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected revenue of $2.22 billion.

Nutrisystem Inc. (NTRI) posted better-than-expected fourth-quarter profit. The company said on Monday its four-quarter profit jumped to $5.31 million, or 18 cents a share, from $1.3 million, or 4 cents a share, a year earlier. Sales rose to $79.2 million from $69.9 million.

Mylan N.V. (MYL) late Monday posted fourth-quarter earnings that were in-line with the Wall Street consensus. The generic drug maker reported adjusted fourth-quarter earnings of $1.05 a share on revenue of $2.08 billion.
