Stocks Move Higher on Fed Outlook

U.S. stocks ended higher on Monday, extending the S&P 500’s string of record highs, as
economic data supported views the Federal Reserve will keep its stimulus intact for several
months. The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished up 111.42 points, or 0.72%, at 15,680.35.
The S&P 500 closed up 9.84 points, or 0.56%, at 1,771.95.The Nasdaq Composite finished up
12.21 points, or 0.31%, at 3,952.34,

LinkedIn Corp (LNKD) posted better-than-expected third quarter revenue of $393 million on Tuesday, a 56 percent jump from a year ago. LinkedIn said its monthly users rose to 259 million during the quarter, a 38 percent rise from a year ago.

Yelp Inc. (YELP) on Tuesday reported a third-quarter loss of $2.3 million, or 4 cents a
share, on revenue of $61.2 million. For its fourth quarter, Yelp expects revenue between $66
million and $67 million, while analysts had forecast the company’s sales at $64.9 million.

The proposed $13 billion settlement between the Justice Department and JPMorgan Chase & Co is
at risk of collapse, the Wall Street Journal reported.
