U.S. stocks closed higher on Friday after economic daia showed a rise in consumer sentiment in August. The Dow Jone Industrial Average closed up 25.09 points at 13275.20. The S&P 500 advanced 2.65 points to close at 1418.16. The Nasdaq Composite finished up 14.20 points at 3076.59. For the week, the Dow was up 0.5%, S&P was up 0.9%, the Nasdaq was up 1.8%.
