Stocks Opened Lower, Pausing after Rally

U.S. stocks opened lower in Monday, pausing after last week’s rally, as traders worried about the spread of the coronavirus as some parts of the world reopen their economies.The Dow Jones Industrial Average lately fell 225.95 points, or 0.93%, to 24,105.37. The S&P 500 was off 23.17 points, or 0.79%, to 2,906.63. The Nasdaq Composite declined 41.87 points, or 0.46%, to 9,079.45.

Oil futures erased early losses to trade higher Monday, finding support after news reports said Saudi Arabia moved to further cut production in June. West Texas Intermediate crude for June delivery was up 33 cents, or 1.3%, to $25.07 a barrel after dropping nearly 3% in earlier action. July Brent crude was up 11 cents, or 0.4%, at $31.08 a barrel.
