Stocks Ended Sharply Lower, Dow Tumbled over 650 Points

U.S. stocks ended sharply lower on Thursday, after Apple lowered its outlook for fiscal first quarter 2019 revenue, propelling worries of a global growth slowdown. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 660.02 points, or 2.83%, to 22,686.22. The S&P 500 shed 62.14 points, or 2.48%, to 2,447.89. The Nasdaq Composite tumbled 202.43 points, or 3.04%, to 6,463.50.

Oil prices climbed Thursday for fourth straight session, as separate surveys revealed monthly declines in crude output from major producers. West Texas Intermediate crude for February delivery added 55 cents, or 1.2%, to settle at $47.09 a barrel.March Brent crude added $1.04, or 1.9%, to $55.95 a barrel.
