Stocks Ended Lower ahead of Key Central Bank Meetings

U.S. stocks finished marginally lower on Monday as investors turned cautious ahead of a pair of crucial central bank meetings. The Dow Jones Industrial Average shed 3.63 points, or 0.02%, to 18,120.17. The S&P 500 edged down 0.04 point, to 2,139.12. The Nasdaq Composite fell 9.54 points, or 0.18%, to 5,235.03.
GoPro Inc. on Monday unveiled two new cameras and its first drone, launches that will test whether the action-camera maker can jump-start growth. GoPro presented its new flagship camera, the Hero 5 Black, destined for its core audience of extreme athletes with its two-inch touch display.
Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. (RCL) raised its quarterly dividend to 48 cents a share from 38 cents a share, the company said late Monday. The dividend will be paid on Oct. 13 to shareholders of record as of Sept. 29. Royal Caribbean shares rose 0.3% after hours.
Intel Corp. (INTC) late Monday said it named Bob Swan as the company’s new chief financial officer to replace Stacy Smith who has taken on a different role within the company.
